Chief Engineer in Additive Manufacturing
We are looking for a chief engineer in additive manufacturing who wants to drive the work of systems management forward. About the Position
As a chief engineer, you will be a central link between various material areas. In this role, you will participate in the long-term planning of the logistics material development area, where you will propose future procurement needs and innovations. You will also participate in studies as well as research and technology development projects, as well as in the department's international work.
In this role, you will develop design controls and review specifications to ensure that customer needs are met and that the materials are interoperable and function effectively. You will support the technical manager by reviewing and quality assuring technical documentation, responses, and decision materials against applicable processes and regulations. You will also act as advisory support to colleagues in areas such as requirement analyses, systems security, and maintenance analyses.
In your work, you will collaborate with internal and external parties and ensure that internal controls within FMV and from the Armed Forces reach out into the organization within designated areas of responsibility.
The department is under development, which means you will participate in the development of both processes and working methods. This also means that the tasks can evolve and be adapted based on your skills, interests, and the needs of the organization.
The position is based in Stockholm. Travel is included in the role, both domestically and internationally.
About You
We are looking for someone with a master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. To succeed in this position, you need to have several years of relevant experience in technical system work, as well as deep and broad knowledge of additive manufacturing. To succeed in the role, it is essential that you have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have experience working in the defense industry or with government agencies. If you have experience in any of the following areas, we see it as positive: maintenance solutions (ILS), information security, configuration management, and/or systems security. We also appreciate if you have experience with international work and have been involved in EDA and/or NATO-related issues.
